There have been so many donations to the Haiti. I plan to donate myself, but I noticed that 25 million dollars has been donated so far and nothing has been done. When Katrina devastated New Orleans many organizations took donations and practically did nothing to help the victims. Time is of the essence and I would like to know the plan-of-action to rescue Haiti. I feel for these people and want to make sure everyones effort isn’t overlooked.
In America 25 million dollars has limitations, however Haiti is a different story. Countless corpses need removal, victims need treatment, everyone needs food, and hygiene and sanitation is vital. The world’s responsibility is to do everything possible to make sure that this situation doesn’t escalate. Although many people were fortunate to avoid the turmoil of Haiti, the earth is still at risk of major health problems. We must simply do more.
